My Day at Kit and Ace Oakville

Thanks Kit and Ace Oakville for the fun spring photo shoot!

Spring is in the air.  It's April, and while the temps don't exactly show it, the sun shines stronger and the days are longer.  I was excited to be asked to do a photo shoot in one of my favourite stores, Kit and Ace, in downtown Oakville.  Their spring collection just launched and Tessa wanted my thoughts on fit, fabric and design.

Kit and Ace launched a few years ago in Vancouver by Shannon and JJ Wilson, Chip Wilson's wife and son (of Lululemon fame).  Using their expertise in technical active wear, Kit and Ace blends the comfort and movement of athletic apparel with fashionable pieces you can wear all day long.  Their pieces can be worn biking and in the boardroom, from museum browsing to mountaintop.  Whatever your day throws at you, Kit and Ace clothes will deliver.  Their scientists and engineers designed a technical cashmere that you can throw in the wash, silk with incredible stretch and a ponte fabric as soft as your favourite yoga pants.  Every piece wicks sweat, breathes and is shrink-proof.  Combined with meticulous Italian tailoring, the pieces look as good as they feel.

A few of my favourite pieces: Button-Up Dress in Micro Shirting Stripe, Easy Breezy Stretch Trouser in Dark Navy, Cropped Short Sleeve Blouse in Ocean Stripe, Body Con Midi Dress in Heather Charcoal, Tailored Long-Sleeve Blouse in Bright White, Brushed Wave Dress in Heather Grey and the Sunsetter Cashmere Hoody in Heather Grey.
